Coriander Seeds | Slowbolt
Coriander Seeds ~150 seeds
People seem to have a love-hate relationship with Coriander. This is due to its unique and pungent flavour and aroma. A small to medium sized, quick growing annual herb producing deliciously flavoured light green leaves.
This variety has been selected for its ability to produce leaves over a longer period before going to seed. Sow every two weeks.
The leaves, seeds and roots are all edible.
Growing Coriander from seed
Coriander is an easy herb to plant from seed and is a staple of many summer vegetable and herb gardens (for those that love this herb). Coriander actually prefers cool weather so will bolt (go to seed) much quicker in warmer weather. In summer, sow seeds regularly to ensure a long lasting crop throughout your favourite time of year to eat it. Easily grown in both pots and open garden spaces.
As a proud member of the Apiaceae family, coriander not only adds flavour to your dishes but also attracts essential pollinators with its white and mauve flower spikes. Unlock the full potential of your coriander by regularly planting seeds and harvesting regularly to promote new and robust growth.
Coriander seed is best planted from spring to early autumn at a depth of 7mm, with plants spaced at 30cm apart in a full sun to part shade position. For optimal germination of coriander seed, ensure your soil is between 10°C and 25°C and kept moist at all times.
